Emergency callouts: what we treat as urgent

Some faults can wait until Sunday. A total AC failure at midnight in August, water pouring through a light fitting, or a distribution board that smells of burning cannot. We keep same-day emergency slots for exactly those situations, and this page tells you how to use them properly.

What counts as an emergency

We triage every call, and being honest about that helps you get the right slot. Genuine emergencies: complete AC failure in extreme heat, especially with infants, elderly residents or medical equipment in the house. Any water leak you cannot isolate at the mains, water dripping from or near electrical fittings, burning smells from the DB board or any appliance, sockets or breakers hot to the touch, and sewage backing up into the property. Not emergencies, though we will still book you in: a single warm room when others cool, a slow drain, one dead socket, a dripping tap. If you are unsure, call and describe it. We would rather move a non-urgent job than have you sit next to a live fault guessing whether it matters.

What to do while you wait for us

Water leak: turn off the mains stopcock, usually near the front of the villa or by the water tank, and open the lowest tap in the house to drain pressure from the pipes. Electrical burning smell or hot board: switch off the main breaker at the DB board if it is safe to reach, do not touch anything wet, and keep everyone away from the affected area. AC failure in extreme heat: close curtains on the sunny side, move everyone including pets to the coolest room, and wet towels and fans help more than opening windows in 45 degree heat. Take photos of anything relevant, leaking ceiling, tripped breakers, error codes on the unit display. Those photos speed up our diagnosis before we even arrive, which shortens the whole visit.

How our emergency response works

Call +971 50 168 5444 and you reach a person, not a call centre script. We ask what is happening, how long it has been happening and what you have already switched off. If it qualifies as an emergency, we dispatch the nearest available technician, and we tell you honestly how long that will be rather than promising a number we cannot meet. The technician arrives with the common failure parts on board, capacitors, pumps, breakers, thermostats, because most Dubai emergencies are caused by a small list of repeat offenders. First priority on arrival is making the situation safe: isolating water, isolating circuits, stopping the leak. Only then do we diagnose and quote the permanent fix. The emergency fee covers the callout and the make-safe, and the repair itself is quoted before work starts.

After the emergency is contained

An emergency visit stops the damage. It does not always finish the job, and we will be clear with you about the difference. If the ceiling leak is stopped but the pipe behind it needs replacing, or the breaker is holding but the board needs a proper re-termination, you get a written scope and fixed quote for that follow-up work before we leave the house. Nothing is started on the back of a stressful evening without your explicit approval and a price on paper. We also tell you what caused the failure, because most emergencies in Dubai homes are the end of a chain that started months earlier. A follow-on preventive plan is usually offered, and it is usually a fraction of what the emergency just cost you.

Common questions

How fast can you reach me in an emergency?

Same day, always, for genuine emergencies anywhere in Dubai. Exact timing depends on traffic and where our technicians are working, so we give you an honest estimate on the call and update you if it changes. We do not quote a fixed 30-minute figure we cannot reliably keep.

Is there an extra charge for emergency callouts?

Emergency visits carry a callout fee reflecting priority dispatch, quoted to you on the phone before we attend. The make-safe work is covered by that fee. Any repair beyond it is quoted separately, in writing, and only proceeds with your approval, so there are no surprise figures on the invoice.

My AC failed at midnight. Do you work overnight?

For genuine emergencies, including total AC failure during dangerous heat, we attend outside normal hours where we can. Call at any hour and we will tell you straight what is possible, give you immediate safety advice over the phone, and book the earliest attendance if overnight dispatch is not available.
